After 20 years as a major projects lawyer, commercial manager and project manager, our lead consultant, Rebecca O'Donoghue now offers her services on a freelance basis to the energy, infrastructure and building industries.  Providing strategic and practical advice on risk management, procurement routes, contract drafting and negotiation, Rebecca specialises in creating innovative but simple solutions to complex legal and contractual issues.

Rebecca has advised on many and varied construction projects over the years, from both contractor and developer sides as well as for government bodies, local authorities and financiers.  Rebecca is familiar with all the major standard form construction contracts including NEC, JCT and FIDIC, and has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating terms on those and other standard form and bespoke contracts

Rebecca has a particular specialism advising on the legal and contractual aspects of nuclear decommissioning, reprocessing and new build power projects.  Previously an active member of the Nuclear Industry Association, Rebecca attended the International School of Nuclear Law in Montpelier.  She subsequently devised an intensive legal and technical nuclear skills training course for legal and commercial professionals, in conjunction with Flagship Training, which has since been accredited by the Nuclear Skills Academy.
